MEC Interaction, MEC's specialist digital, social, search and direct response business has worked with Oddcast to devise a 'Shrek Yourself' application to support the through the line Shrek Forever After campaign.

Consumers will be able to upload their face into an online widget to see what they would look like if they were in an ogre in 'Far Far Away'. The new widget is hosted on the official site www.shrekface.co.uk as well as on the UK Facebook profile, www.facebook.com/ShrekForeverAfterUK.

In addition, MEC and Paramount have co-ordinated an exclusive Shrek takeover of the Sky.com portal, which will 'Shrekify' the iconic Sky.com logo for the opening weekend.

Steve Hunt, Head of Media, Paramount Pictures UK, comments: "With Shrek on his final adventure in Shrek Forever After we wanted to give fans their final opportunity to immerse themselves into the world of the ogre. MEC Interaction has a proven track record of digital marketing capabilities and we look forward to using their expertise to close the final chapter in the Shrek series."

Mark Brennan, Senior Digital Account Manager, MEC Interaction: "The final Shrek embraces new technology with 3D, and this attitude has been extended into the digital marketing. The app is one of a number of ways that Paramount will be embracing emerging technologies and platforms in 2010 to bring people closer to the films they love."
