MEC UK  achieved huge success at this year's IPA Effectiveness Awards - widely recognised by agencies and clients alike as the advertising industry's most hotly contest awards scheme - by claiming top spot of the media agency performance table and being ranked an incredible 4th overall on the night.

MEC took home Gold for their work with the Teacher Development Agency for the Teacher Recruitment campaign, and the work was recognised with an additional two awards - the Channon Prize for Best New Learning and the Best Multichannel Award.

The agency also picked up Silver for their work with the Department of Health on Smoking Cessation, underlining the agency's ability to retain freshness in a long term campaign.

Stuart Sullivan-Martin, MEC UK's Chief Strategy Officer, said of the success: "What a great evening for all involved at MEC. Success at the IPA Effectiveness Awards is the standard we aspire to for all of our clients, so our presence as the dominant media agency for a second year running tells you all you need to know about the fantastic work and dedication put in by everyone at the agency."
