MEC, a leading media agency, today announced the launch of an integrated Analytics and Insight practice in North America. Led by Yahoo! veteran Theresa LaMontagne in a newly created Managing Director position, the new practice combines and integrates the agency's media research, digital analytics, data integration and modeling teams to create on and offline continuity in data, analytics and insights.

Said Lee Doyle, CEO North America: "The combined analytics offering is a natural evolution of MEC's services - and is critical to addressing the future needs of our clients. With Theresa at the helm, we're poised to create even bigger and better cross-over opportunities for clients, by better understanding the effects of digital and traditional media in the purchase pathway."

Theresa will be based in New York and will report to CEO North America Lee Doyle. She will oversee the integration of all of MEC's diverse competencies and work closely with the client teams to identify objectives and develop plans that will measurably help clients to improve their business.

Stephan Bruneau, Global Director of Analytics and Insight said: "I am proud of the Analytics and Insight capabilities we have built in North America and feel confident that Theresa brings the perfect blend of experience and charisma to accelerate our progress in this area, and lead and harness our combined resources to greater success."

Theresa's experience includes stints at Yahoo!, Simmons, BBDO/OMD and most recently as SVP, Data and Insights at Carat. She has overseen the development of research and insights for world-renowned premium brands in the pharmaceutical, retail and consumer packaged-goods categories.

"This is an important move for MEC and one that I am thrilled to lead," said LaMontagne. "We have a best-in-class team in place that will only be enhanced by combining their specialties together."

Theresa is the latest in a group of industry-leading executives to join MEC in the past few months: Star Kalatzan joined the agency from Universal McCann in January as Managing Director, responsible for IKEA, Novartis, YUM! and Toys R' Us. Mark Yesayian, came on board from Ogilvy San Francisco as Managing Director of Digital Operations on the West Coast including MEC's Seattle, San Francisco, LA and Irvine offices. Beth Egan joined the agency from Universal McCann, as an Account Director on the AT&T business. Mason Franklin, formerly at Leo Burnett, was brought on board as a communications planning specialist, working closely with the Consumer Insights team and also on the AT&T business.
