MEC News » MEC Manchester wins new business worth £11m
The latest appointment capitalises upon a number of recent high-profile wins that have seen the agency land Shearings Group, Seven Seas, Olympus PEN Camera, Birmingham City University, Mission Foods, Polish Tourist Board and Not Your Daughters Jeans. Additionally, the agency has won the SEO accounts for Paramount and Homeserve.
MEC Manchester is one of the fastest growing regional media agencies in the UK according to the latest NMR figures. Additionally, recent figures showed that billing was up 21 per cent from June 2009 to June 2010.
Mick Style, managing director, MEC Manchester, commented: "Winning POM Wonderful has capped a fantastic 2010 for us to date. I'm sure I don't have to re-emphasise how difficult a market it still is at present, so to bring in over £11m of new business is a testimony to the creative pitches that we are putting together.
"Also, we've won more SEO business than anyone else in the regions over the last 12 months and have grown our SEO team to now include 11 full-time employees. This is a brilliant achievement in itself. Coupled with some high-profile regional award wins - the Marketing Industry Network award for 2009 and the How-Do Media Agency of the Year award for 2010 - it really has been a great year so far and long may it continue."
